How it works
You send a text. Rick drives out and tests it.
There is no online booking calendar to fight with here. One text is the whole process, and it goes to Rick directly — this is his own number, with no directory or call center sitting in the middle of it.
The day you need it · how many trucks · where they are parked
Put those three things in the text and Rick can come straight back with a time. He answers monday through sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
A day or two ahead is the best way to get on the schedule, so Rick can fit you in — same-day is sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.

Three things: the day you need the test and whether he is free then, how many trucks need inspecting, and where they are parked. He answers seven days a week, 6 AM to 6 PM.

Pick a time
Rick comes to your yard, lot or terminal. Whole fleets can be booked into one visit.

The OBD test
He plugs into the vehicle’s diagnostic port and reads the emissions monitoring data on site.

You get the result
Rick goes over what the test reported and what you do with it next. Paperwork is handled through the program.
What Rick needs from you
- The day you need the test — so he can tell you whether he is available then.

- The vehicle type, if you know it — a tractor, a box truck, a 30-foot shuttle.
The price is $100 flat per vehicle — travel inside the 50-mile radius included.

What you get back
The OBD test produces the vehicle’s own emissions monitoring readings. Rick goes over what the test reported, and what the next step is from there. He does not sell repairs, so there is nothing being upsold to you on the day.
What it costs
$100 flat per vehicle, with travel anywhere inside the 50-mile radius of San Bernardino included. The same price for a commercial van as for a transit bus, and the same whether it is one unit or a row of them.
Clean Truck Check is a California program, and filing is handled through the program’s own system — Rick handles the testing side of it.

Who runs the test
Rick does every step of it himself.
He is a carb-credentialed clean truck check tester with 13 years of inspection experience, which is the mark on the card above. There is no dispatcher, no technician you have never spoken to and no third party in the middle of it — the text, the drive and the test are all the same person.
